TAMIZH THIRUVIZHA

Purpose of the Activity: On the auspicious occasion of Pongal. the Literary Committee organized “TAMIZH THIRUVIZHA” on 14th January, 2025 in the college campus. The Program started with some Traditional Games on the college ground during the Pongal Ceremony, followed by a cultural programme depicting the rich Tamil Culture. A Special exhibition was held comprising of Tamil Festivals, Food, Artforms, Personalities and Literature to spread the Awareness of this ancient language. All the Programs were planned and executed due to the untiring efforts of the students.

Purpose of the Activity: To create Awareness of Malayalam Language and Culture among diverse students

The Literary committee of The S.I.A.College of higher education had organized “Onam” ,the vibrant harvest festival of Kerala ,on 19th September 2024 at 9:30 a.m. The event aimed to promote cultural awareness and unity among students from diverse backgrounds.
The celebration commenced with the inauguration of Exhibition by Dr,Padmaja Arvind,Principal and Mrs. Booma Halpeth,Vice principal, which includes culture, great personalities, food, traditional folk dance images of Kerala to understand the people with the rich heritage of Kerala. Traditional Pookkalam (flower rangoli) was displayed in the campus, where students showcased their creativity using a variety of colourful flowers. This was followed by a cultural program featuring traditional music and dance performances, including Thiruvathira, Mohiniyattam, folk song and skit. There were a total of 122 girls and 64 boys attended the event and 15 girls and 15 boys actively participated in the event to make it as successful.
The event end with vote of thanks. The efforts of all participants, from the performers to the organizers, contributed to making this Onam celebration a memorable and enjoyable experience for everyone present.
