A One-Day Research Skill Enhancement Workshop for UG Students was conducted on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at 10.30 am, to fulfil the need of improving research abilities of recently enrolled B. Sc (IT) students. The main purpose of this workshop was to introduce students with the concept of research, its importance and significance in Academics.

Report of the Activity
The presentOne-Day Research Skill Enhancement Workshop for UG Students was conducted for first year B.Sc. (IT) students on 1 August 2026. Miss. Apurva Pawar welcomed the resource person and participants of the workshop. Dr. Nitinkumar M. Patil, Assistant Professor and convenor of the Research Committee, the S.I.A. College of Higher Education, Dombivli (E), was the resource person of the workshop. The resource person initially introduced the difference between research, discovery and invention and briefly elaborate the concept of research. He talked on the types and significance of research in academics and explained on the sources of data. While focusing on the structure of research project he discussed on project Title, Abstract, Introduction, Key words, Aims and Objectives, Review of Literature, Methodology, Findings, Results and Discussion, Conclusion, Acknowledgement and References. In the second session, Students were provided with a published research paper titled "Simulating Mathematical Model of PID Controller for Power Control in Digital Application” and asked wight a review of the same. This was followed by the question-answer session. Students asked about recently popularised term called Data Driven Decision Making (DDDM) and Scope of research in Information Technology. The research workshop ended with the vote of thanks expressed by Vedant Chavan.
