Student Council Activities 2025-26


On the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas, our college organized a special function on 26th July to pay tribute to the brave soldiers of the Indian Army who laid down their lives during the Kargil War of 1999.

As part of the commemoration, a video screening session was conducted in every classroom during the college day. The videos showcased real-life stories, war footage, interviews with soldiers, and documentaries highlighting the courage, determination, and patriotism of our armed forces.

The 79th Independence Day on Friday, August 15, 2025 was celebrated with great patriotic fervour and enthusiasm on the college campus. The event brought together students, faculty, and administrative staff to honour the sacrifices of the nation's freedom fighters and celebrate the enduring spirit of a united India.

The ceremony commenced at 8:00 am. with the unfurling of the national flag by the President, The S.I.A. Association followed immediately by the singing of the National Anthem and a series of inspiring speeches

The Student Council has celebrated "Ganesh Chaturthi Pooja” on 3rd September 2025.

The college campus was enveloped in an atmosphere of immense devotion and cultural pride as we celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi, marking the birth of Lord Ganesha, the revered deity of wisdom, prosperity, and the remover of obstacles. The event aimed to foster unity, participation, and cultural awareness among the students, echoing the strong community spirit historically championed in Maharashtra by Lokmanya Tilak.

The Ganesh Chaturthi inaugural pooja concluded with a resounding community Aarti, filling the campus with positive energy and enthusiastic chants of "Ganpati Bappa Morya!"

The Student Council organized a vibrant celebration of the Navratri Festival followed by a Garba Ras dance gathering on Friday, 27th September 2025. The event was held to celebrate the cultural diversity of the campus and to provide students, teaching staff, and non-teaching staff a platform to interact and celebrate the festive spirit together.

The festivities featured several competitive events designed to showcase student talent. In the Best Costume category, the titles were awarded to Miss Dhruna Parihar (SYB.Com) and Mr. Roshan Air (SYB.Sc.IT) for their exceptional traditional attire. Furthermore, the Best Dancer accolades were secured by Mr. Devansh Modi (SYBBI) and Miss Shavani Bhitale (TYB.Sc.IT), following an impressive display of energy and skill on the floor.

Sparklers Intercollegiate Fest 2025-26 was organized on 17th and 18th December 2025 as a grand celebration of talent, creativity, and sportsmanship. This year, the fest witnessed an unprecedented scale of engagement with a total of 1,068 participants representing over 10 colleges. The event served as a vibrant platform for students to showcase their skills across cultural, technical, and digital domains.

The college campus transformed into a vibrant reflection of South Indian culture as students and faculty gathered to celebrate Pongal on January 14, 2026, at 8.00 am , the traditional harvest festival. The celebration aimed to promote cultural diversity, gratitude for nature's bounty, and community spirit among the student body.The central event of the celebration took place on the open college ground, where a traditional outdoor kitchen setup was recreated,the freshly cooked sweet Pongal was offered as a token of gratitude and then distributed as Prasadam on traditional banana leaves to all the students, teaching staff, and non-teaching staff members.

The 77th Republic Day was celebrated with great patriotic fervour and enthusiasm. The event served as a reminder of the day the Constitution of India came into effect, marking the country's transition to a sovereign, socialist, secular, and democratic republic. Students, faculty, and staff gathered in large numbers to honour the democratic values of our nation.

The institution successfully hosted the 58th Inter-Collegiate Cultural Youth Festival on 5th August and 23rd August 2025 in the category of Fine art and literary competitions on zonal level. The Youth Festival was formally inaugurated in the presence of esteemed dignitaries. The inauguration ceremony began with an invocation, followed by the welcome address delivered by Mrs. Archana Prabhudesai and Mr. Akash Kamble, District coordinator of Department of Students’ Development Academic Year-2025-26.48 colleges participated for various categories of Fine art and literary competitions.

The institution won Frist prize in Rangoli and Folk dance on zonal level participation.

The valedictory function was carried out with the announcement of results on zonal level. The event was successfully completed by the support of management members, teaching and nonteaching staff and student’s volunteers.
