Marathi Vangmay Mandal was established in 2018 in our college with the aim of preserving marathi culture and literature, as well as inculcating taste for Marathi language in the minds of nonmarathi multilingual students. Different activities, competitions and programs are organized by the Marathi Vangmay Mandal every year.

Marathi Vangmay Mandal organized Visit to Book Exhibition on 24th January,2025 at 1.00pm. There were more than 10,000 books exhibited in Marathi, English and Hindi languages. Students were encouraged to purchase and read variety of books specially in Marathi language.
The students participated with great Zeal and enthusiasm .
A total of 42 students and 3 staff members (23 female and 22 male ) attended the visit and enjoyed reading.
Aashadhi Ekadashi Celebration

On the occasion of Ashadi Ekadashi, Marathi Vangmay Mandal organized the program ‘Bolava Vitthal’ on 18th July,2024. A ‘Granth Dindi’ procession was organised throughout the premises by the students. Various programs like Aarti, Bhupali and Abhang Gayan were presented by students, teachers and non-teaching staff. Students robed up as Lord Vitthala and Sri Rakhumai and participated in the dindi along with Vasudev and Warkari. Students participated with enthusiasm and vigour.
A total of 533 students (296 female students and 237 male ) participated and enjoyed the program.

Marathi Vangmay Mandal organized ‘Shravan Sari’ program on 30th August, 2024 at 11.30 am. Various events like Marathi Kavita Vaachan, and Mangla Gaur dance were presented by students. Intercollegiate Rangoli competition and Poster Competition on theme of Marathi festivals was conducted and three prizes for each event were declared.
25 students from our college and 2 students from Tilak college participated in the competition.
The students participated with great Zeal and enthusiasm .A total of 274 students and staff (150 female and 124 male ) attended and enjoyed the program.

Poster Competition on theme of Marathi festivals was conducted and three prizes were declared.The students participated with great Zeal and enthusiasm . A total of 277 students and staff (169 female and 108 male) participated, attended and enjoyed the program.

Various programs like Aarti, Bhupali and Abhang Gayan were presented by students, teachers and non-teaching staff. The campus of the college was witness to Vithunama cha Gajar with enthusiasm and vigour. A total of 206 students and staff (97 female and 109 male ) participated and enjoyed the program.

Marathi Vangmay Mandal celebrated Shiv Jayanti Sohala on 20th February,2024 at 9.30am in the college premises. On this occasion a skit on Shivaji Maharaj taking oath after coronation and Lezhim Dance with Dhol was performed by 40 students.
The students participated with great fervour and enthusiasm .
A total of 325 members (197 female and 128 male ) attended the program.

Marathi Vangmaya Mandal of the college celebrated Marathi Bhasha Divas on 27th February,2024. On this occasion Valli –a literary event was organised which consisted of Marathi Kavita Vachan, Katha-Kathan, Mono acting and a Rang-Rangoli competition. Students and teachers presented Marathi poems.Students performed skit on importance of Marathi language .
Marathi books and certificates were distributed to the winners of Rang-Rangoli competition.
Students participated with great passion and enthusiasm .
A total of 153 members ( 93 female and 60 male ) attended the program.

The ‘Shivjayanti Utsav-2023’ organized by Marathi Vangmay Mandal started on 20/2/2023 at 10 am in the college premises. The program started with the remembrance of Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Salutation to Saraswati Devi.
In the life of Shivaji maharaj, his mother has played a very important role. A drama was presented about how Jijabai (his mother) brought up Shivaji maharaj.
The program concluded with the sound of drums and playing of lazim, and the salutations to Shivraya.
A total of 416 students including 242 female students and 174 male students enjoyed the program.
Pustak Mahotsav

Marathi vangmay mandal of the college organized a book exhibition named ‘Pustak Mahotsav’ in association with Pai’s Friends Library, Dombivili on 14th and 15th September 2022 on the 3rd floor of the college. The objective of the book exhibition was to cultivate reading culture among students.
The exhibition was inaugurated by College Principal, Dr. Padmaja Arvind mam. It was open for students and staff between 10.00 AM to 4.30 PM. Books covering different genres like classic, fiction, inspirational, suspense and thriller, biographies, cookbooks, historical, parenting any many more in marathi and English language were displayed. The books were also purchased by students and staff.
A total of 292 students including 140 female students and 152 male students visited the book exhibition.
Shravan Sari

Marathi Vangmay Mandal of the college organizes Shravansari every year to describe the significance of the month of Shravan, known as the king of festivals. Every year various programs are organized under Shravansari. This year, with the theme of environment, two programs were organized namely poster making competition and poetry reading on environment based topics.
The program ‘Shravansari’ started on 17/8/2022 at 11 am in the college auditorium. The program started with the lighting of the lamp and with thought sharing of principal Mrs. Padmaja Arvind mam. 6 students participated in poetry reading and 15 students participated in poster making competition. The teachers also encouraged the students by reciting poetry. 2 prizes were announced for the poster making competition. Prizes and certificates were distributed to the winners. Also, certificates were given as encouragement to the students who recited poetry.
A total of 150 students including 87 female students and 63 male students enjoyed the program.
Ashadhi Ekadashi

Purpose of the Activity: On the occasion of Ashadi Ekadashi, Marathi Vangmay Mandal organized the program ‘Vithu Maza Lekurwala’ on 11th July 2022. At 10.30 in the morning, the student took out the ‘Granth Dindi’ and moved the dindi from all the floors as well as in the premises, finally bringing the rhythm to the floor. After that, various programs like Aarti, Bhupali and Abhang Gayan were presented by students, teachers and non-teaching staff. Everyone’s enthusiasm was very measurable. The campus of the college was full of Vithunama.
Total of 281 students including 151 female students and 130 male students enjoyed the program.
Valli -2023

The inter-college competition ‘Valli 2023’ organized by the Marathi Vangmay mandal was held on 27/2/2023. Three competitions such as Rang-Rangoli, Antakshari, Mr. and Miss Valli were organized on this occasion. 6 groups participated in the Rang-Rangoli competition, 15 participants in the Mr and Miss Valli competition and 4 groups in the Antakshari competition. Marathi books and certificates were distributed to the winners of Rang-Rangoli and Mr. and Miss Valli as prizes. The winners of the antakshari competition were given cash prize and certificates.

Marathi bhasha gaurav din is celebrated to mark the birth anniversary of eminent Marathi poet Vishnu Vaman Shirwadkar, popularly known as “Kusumagraj” in Indian literary circles. As Marathi is the official language of the state of Maharashtra, the main objective of the festival is to promote and preserve the richness of Marathi culture among the young generation.
Marathi Vangmay Mandal invited Mrs. Ujjwala Yevla as the Chief Guest on the occasion of Marathi bhasha gaurav din on 27 February 2023. Mrs. Ujwala Yeola teaches Marathi subject in the S.I.A ‘s junior college.
She narrated the history of Marathi language and addressed the students on how to preserve Marathi language in today’s era. The principal shared some of his memories on the occasion of Marathi bhasha gaurav din. ‘Valli’, an inter-college competition, was also inaugurated.
A total of 38 students including 14 female students and 24 male students enjoyed this program.

2018 – 19
Shravansari
Date: 20th August 2018 to 21st August 2018
Day 1 : Theme of shravansari (Day 1) was sanskruti darpan. Festivals celebrated in Maharashtra in the month of shravan were.
Day 2 : Theme of shravansari (Day 2) was Kavya vachan. In this program Marathi poems of various poets were read and explained by students as well ast by teachers 76 students were present for the same.
Shabdavali

In order to celebrate Marathi Bhasha pandharawada, Marathi vangamay mandal conducted the activity “Shabdavali” during 11th February 2019 to 27th February 2019 where the meanings of various English words were written on the board in languages like Marathi, Hindi and Tamil. The whole college benefited by this activity.
Movie Screening

Movie screening was conducted for the students and “Harishchandrachi Factory” movie was shown. 98 students were present for the same.

Marathi Bhasah Divas Celebration

In order to celebrate marathi bhasha divas an entertainment program was presented by Class IV employees of the college such as “Jagar” and “Dance” Marathi games were played by teaching, non teaching staff members and the students together.
