Purpose of the activity: To help students understand the art and technology behind film making, while learning the history of Indian cinema.
Activity: The Subject faculty, Sumedh Nikkam accompanied the students to the museum.
The BAMMC Department organized a visit to the National Museum of Indian Cinema at Films Division Complex, Pedder Road, for the SYBAMMC students on 24the December, 2025.
The museum offers a comprehensive journey through Indian cinema's history with artifacts, interactive displays, vintage equipment, costumes, and digital exhibits.
The visit began with the section that explains the origin of cinema in India. Students were introduced to the early days of filmmaking when movies were silent and cameras were operated by hand.
The museum also displayed different types of lenses used in cinema.
Another important part of the visit was learning about lighting in films. The museum showed how lighting has evolved from using natural sunlight to professional studio lights.
The museum explained the journey from silent films to sound films and showed how sound recording developed over time.
Students also learned interesting facts about classic Indian films and famous filmmakers.
A total of 8 students visited the museum, 9 boys and 9 girls.
Outcome: Students are more regular in class and taking lectures seriously.

Purpose of the activity: To exhibit the best photographs taken during Photo Walk.
Activity: A Photo exhibition was organised on 13/08/2025 to boost the moral of the BAMMC Department students by displaying the best photographs. The Exhibition was inaugurated by Principal Madam Dr. Mrs. Padmaja Arvind. She pointed out some photographs which she liked. Students started visiting the exhibition as and when their lectures winded up. The increasing number of student was a boost to the morale of the students.
After the visit, the students had to scan a QR Code to give their feedback
Outcome: Students of FY, SY and TY worked together in organising the event. It was a good team spirit.
Total participants: 163 (68 Male and 95 Female) visited the exhibition.
A few faculties also visited the exhibition.

Purpose of the activity: To involve students in taking photographs based on a theme.
Activity: A Photo walk session was conducted on 02/08/2025 to create an inspiration among students on capturing photographs in and around you. This workshop was conducted to provided students with knowledge and hands-on learning experience to bring out the creative, in students and capture the essence of photography skills as taught in the classroom.
The participants were divided into groups and assigned specific areas locations to be covered. Each group has a leader from TYBAMMC, supported by a student from SYBAMMC to guide the FYBAMMC students in their group. 7 such groups were formed in all.
Outcome: Students gained practical knowledge on taking photographs given a location and theme. The students has a sense of accomplishment, team work.

Purpose of the activity: To welcome the new batch of students.
Activity: The Freshers Mela ‘NEOPHYTES’ was organised on 30/07/2025 to give a warm welcome to the fresh entrants into the BAMMC department. The purpose was to get to know each other though games conducted by the seniors. The seniors welcomed the students by presenting a small gift which was made by the seniors, an innovative idea liked very much by the FY students.
The event ended with a cake cutting followed by music and dance.
Outcome: Students interacted with each other through the various activities conducted. A bonding of trust and friendship was built.

Purpose of the activity: To inculcate the values and knowledge given in Vedas.
Activity: The guest was introduced to the students by reading his profile.
The session started with the concept of knowledge and revolved round the term, faith, belief and justification. He explain the evolution of various human civilization and that Indus Valley civilization is the oldest. The covered in short concepts of Yogas, Shruti, Smruti, Bhagwatam. He also gave the importance of vedas in our life.
Outcome: Students got to know the concept of knowlege and how enriched the vedas are, changing human perspective and way of living.

Purpose of the activity: To present an innovative creativity by applying the techniques learnt.
Activity: The ‘Cine Hub’ of the BAMMC Department released a short film ‘The Package’ on 26/09/2025 in the Auditorium.
The screening began at 11:00 am till 3:30 pm. the short film was for 15 minutes screened in various shows.
After the screening, students of BAMMC Department took reviews to know the response of audience.
Outcome: Students from all department watched the movie along with faculties. Junior college students also participated.
A total of 370 students attended,136 boys and 234 girls.

Purpose of the activity: To help students to come up with new games and new themes to attract students to participate with a competitive spirit
Activity: As part of Inter-Collegiate Event Praज्ञान, the Club under Department of Multimedia and Mass Communication organised PARADIGM – ‘OTAKUZEN’, as theme for this year. The theme related games (Anime Hunt and Cosplay Chronicles) commenced from 9:30 am on 10th Jan, 2026 in the classroom.
The theme of the fest being Anime, resonates strongly with college students primarily because of its focus on relatable themes of self-discovery, identity formation.
The department volunteers prepared 5 models of anime characters to create the vibe of the event.
Anime Hunt brings out the cognitive, physical, and social skills of students to work as a teams to decipher clues and navigate to a final objective.
7 groups of 4 students each participated in the game. 2 groups were declared the winners and runners up. Cash prizes and certificates were awarded.
Cosplay Chronicles involves a wide range of creative, technical, and soft skills.
The participants prepared props and dressed with make-up to match the characters style and enact them. 7 students participated in the event and 2 were declared winners and runner up. Cash prizes and certificates were awarded.
The volunteers were active throughout the event.
Outcome: Participants enjoyed the activities.

The TYBAMMC farewell ceremony was successfully conducted on 20th March 2026 with great enthusiasm and joy. The event began with the games where all students participated enthusiastically.
Following this, the students expressed their thoughts and memories through farewell speeches.
A token as a remembrance was presented to the TY students and snapping pics as memories. The atmosphere became even more vibrant as students danced to rocking music.
The event concluded on a cheerful note with pastries and sweets to a memorable farewell. The event was packed with emotions, fun, and celebration.
