The Department of Information Technology organized a guest lecture on "Cyber Hygiene, Social Engineering and Building a Human Firewall for Everyone” on 13th December 2025 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Room no 405. The session was conducted to enhance awareness among students about cybersecurity threats and the importance of safe digital practices.
The guest lecture was delivered by Mr. Akash Kamble, Coordinator – Cybersecurity Programs, B. K. Birla College, Kalyan. The session focused on educating students about the growing cyber risks in the digital era and the crucial role of individuals in preventing cyber attacks.
During the lecture, Mr. Kamble explained the concept of cyber hygiene and emphasized the importance of maintaining secure online behavior. He discussed common cyber threats such as phishing, social engineering attacks, identity theft, malware, and online frauds. Real-life examples and case studies were shared to help students understand how attackers manipulate human behavior to gain unauthorized access to information.
The guest lecture successfully met its objectives of promoting cybersecurity awareness and encouraging responsible digital behavior among students.

The orientation program for First Year B.Sc.I.T. students was conducted on 23rd June 2025 at 10.30 AM in room no 308.The session aimed to welcome the new batch and familiarize them with the key aspects of their academic journey.
During the orientation, students were briefed about the college infrastructure and the faculties, National Education Policy (NEP) and detailed information regarding their subjects, syllabus and the examination pattern under their specialization.
The session was informative and interactive, helping students gain clarity about their course structure and expectations

The purpose of fresher’s party is to welcome new students in a friendly atmosphere and to encourage their creative Impulses to boost their confidence. It is the day where seniors and junior’s finally bond and unite to celebrate being part of the college. Students of first year F.Y.B.sc IT students were welcomed this party which was organized by department of Information Technology & Mathematics along with the students on 30th July 2025,in the room no. G5 at 10:30 AM. Freshers along with their seniors got chance to showcase their talent by Games and various activities, dance performances like solo, Duo, Group dances. Mr. Kunal Mandal and Ms. Shravani Patil were winners of the Mr. Fresher and Ms. Fresher respectively.

An industry expert lecture on "Full-Stack Development" was organized by Department of Information Technology and Mathematics on 20/09/2025, at 9.00 am in college auditorium.
The guest speaker Mr.Sandeep Padhi is a founder and consultant of Carufus Technology. The session aimed to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and current industry practices by providing students with insights into the full-stack development lifecycle, current technologies, and career opportunities in the field.
The session was arranged for TYB.Sc.IT and M.Sc.IT students.

Name of the Event: PTA Meeting for F.Y.B.Sc.I.T and S.Y.B.Sc.I.T.

Parent–Teacher Meeting for First Year and Second Year B.Sc. I.T. students was organized on 15th November 2025 to strengthen communication between parents and the institution and to discuss students’ academic progress and overall development.
The meeting for F.Y.B.Sc. I.T. students was conducted at 8:30 a.m., followed by the meeting for Second Year students at 9:30 a.m. The sessions were conducted by the Class Teachers along with the Department Convenor.
During the meeting, parents were oriented about the college and departmental activities, academic structure under NEP, and upcoming institutional programmes such as the college fest, short-term courses, and various student development initiatives. The rules and regulations related to attendance, examinations, and academic discipline were explained in detail.
Parents were provided with feedback regarding students’ academic performance, attendance, behaviour, and preparation for upcoming examinations. For Second Year students, discussions were also held regarding Community Engagement Project activities and overall performance in Semester III.
The Honorable Principal, Dr. Padmaja Arvind, addressed the parents and shared important information regarding the Autonomous status of the college, institutional code of conduct, and academic regulations.

Name of the Event: NOVATECH - Intercollegiate competition

The Tech-know Club of Dept of Information Technology and Mathematics successfully organized an inter-collegiate event Novatech under under the banner of "Praज्ञान (Knowledge in Action)” on 9th and 10th January 2026 as part of the academic year 2025–26. The event aimed to provide a dynamic platform for students from various colleges to showcase their technical skills, innovative ideas, and problem-solving abilities while promoting collaborative learning and healthy competition.
The event was conducted with great enthusiasm and witnessed active participation from students representing different colleges. A variety of competitions and activities were conducted, focusing on both technical and analytical skills. The program was inaugurated with a formal welcome address, followed by an overview of the event schedule and guidelines for participants.

The Department of Information Technology and Mathematic has organized "CHEERIO 2026” to celebrate and bid farewell to the TYB.Sc.IT students (Batch 2025–26). The Event was held on Tuesday, 24th March 2026 at 11:00 AM in the college auditorium.
The event commenced with a warm welcome to all dignitaries, faculty members, and students. The Principal, Vice Principal, and Head of the Department of IT addressed the gathering, sharing words of encouragement, appreciation, and best wishes for the graduating students. They also formally inaugurated the program, marking the beginning of the celebration.
The program was filled with enthusiasm and joy as juniors expressed their gratitude and admiration for their seniors through heartfelt messages and engaging activities. Various games and interactive sessions were organized, which added excitement and strengthened the bond between students. The atmosphere was vibrant, reflecting the spirit of togetherness and celebration.
The farewell event served as a memorable occasion to acknowledge the dedication, commitment, and achievements of the TYB.Sc.IT students. The program concluded on a cheerful note with students participating actively, cherishing moments, and creating lasting memories as they marked the end of an important phase of their academic journey.
