The students did a placard presentation of 5 minutes projecting the journey of Tilak from Samanya to Lokmanya in every class, thus ensuring that the works done by this great leader are known to the current generation. The Presentation was made exciting by the council, one of the students dressed himself as Tilak and also gave a motivating speech.

The Student Council organized 20 events, offering a diverse platform for students to compete and showcase their skills.
The event attracted 735 participants from 69 different colleges, creating an atmosphere of vibrant competition.
Model College won the Maximum Participation Award, with an impressive 68 participants taking part.
Model College also clinched the Maximum Winning College Award, having secured 17 winners across various events.
The Best Department Award, recognizing 114 participants, was awarded to the BMS Department of SIA College.
The competitions, including Dance, Singing, mono-acting, and Group skits, were evaluated by a panel of expert judges, ensuring a fair and professional assessment of the performances.
December 19th, 2024:
On this day, the teaching and non-teaching staff of Sia College participated in an exciting Dance and Ramp Walk performance, adding a fun and engaging element to the event.
Students of the college also showcased their talent through dance performances, contributing to the lively spirit of the occasion.
The event concluded with a thrilling DJ Night, where students enjoyed an energetic and entertaining atmosphere, marking a perfect end to the celebrations.

On Thursday 15th August 2024, the 78th Independence Day was celebrated from 08:00 am in our college which was marked with great enthusiasm and patriotism. The event began with the flag-hosting ceremony in the college premises by Secretary Mr. Gopalakrishnan Sir accompanied by the national anthem, setting the patriotic tone for the rest of the program. The management members, Principal of Commerce College, Dean of The SIA College of Physiotherapy all teaching, and non-teaching staff, and students were present for the same.
The further event was conducted in the College auditorium where the Student Council members gave a tribute to the patriots by lighting the candle symbolizing the 78th Independence Day. The Secretary Mr. Gopalakrishnan Sir & the Dean of The SIA College of Physiotherapy addressed the audience through their encouraging words which inspired them followed by Principal Dr. Padmaja Arvind delivered an inspiring speech, emphasizing 3 A’s “Attention, Affection and Appreciation,” which signifies the Independence & the role of today’s youth in shaping the nation’s future.
The newly elected student council members took the oath, promising to serve the college and its students with dedication and integrity. This was followed by the launch of the student council magazine, by the Secretary Mr. Gopalakrishnan Sir, showcasing the creative talents and the achievements of the students throughout the year.
The cultural segment of the program featured a series of performances. Students showcased their talents through engaging dance, biographical skits of Olympic player Niraj Chopra, and singing performances. The sports club also contributed with a yoga performance, demonstrating both skill and discipline.
Overall, the 78th Independence Day celebration was a memorable event, reflecting both the spirit of national pride and the vibrant energy of our student body.
The total number of students present for the event was 79 out of which 50 female and 29 male students.

Students and faculty from all departments eagerly participated in the celebrations. The event proved to be a tremendous success, fostering a sense of unity and cultural appreciation among all. - The 72nd Republic Day was celebrated on January 26, 2021 in the college campus. All teaching and non-teaching staff were present along with management committee members. The principal and staff of The S.I.A. College of Physiotherapy were also present. The event began at 8.00 am with formal welcome to all the members. The secretary of the Association, Shri K. V. Ranganathan unfurled the National Flag to mark the celebration of 72nd Republic Day. The national anthem was sung as a respect towards the flag. Thereafter, the President, Shri T. N. Muthukrishnan, and Secretary of the Association addressed the audience with inspiring speeches on the meaning and history of this auspicious day.
Thereafter, one of our watchmen, Anant Khedekar was facilitated for his exemplary contribution to the College during the pandemic. Prof. RanjanaMhalgi, the IQAC Coordinator also shared her views on the experiences gained during lockdown. Another faculty from Physiotherapy College also shared some insights on the importance of Republic Day. The event concluded with vote of thanks by Prof. Mahesh Kandalkar, the Convenor of the Student Council. The entire event was anchored by Prof. SandhyaThakkar, representative of Staff Academy and social distancing was followed effectively.

Meditation and Yoga session

Student Council organized a session on Meditation and Yoga in association with Prajapati BrahmaKumarisIshwariyaVishwaVidyalaya, Dombivli. The session was conducted in two batches from 7.30 a.m.to 8.30 am and 8.30 am to 9.30 am Mrs.Saritha Menon conducted meditation session and Mrs. Aarti Bongale conducted Yoga Session.135 studentsand & 5 teachers performed yoga and meditation.

Students Council organized Chair Yoga in association with N.S.S Unit on 20-6-2019.It was conducted in five batches from 8.00 am to 1.00 pm Mr. Sandip Solanki conducted all the sessions. 289 people including student and Teachers performed Chair Yoga.

Kargil Vijay Diwas

Student Council of the college organized 20thkargil Vijay Diwas. Teaching and Non-teaching staff along with the students paid tribute to Kargil martyrs by lighting candles and offering flowers. Speech was delivered by the student to remember the contribution of Kargil martyrs. Was followed by patriotic songs by council students. Around 174 students participated in the same.

Death Anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr. A. P. J Abdul Kalam was observed by Student Council.
The teachers as well as council students paid homage to the great legend by lighting candles and offering flowers. Thereafter, a documentary was aired on the screen, depicting the simple and modest life and thought of the great man who has earned worldwide acclaim in the field of science.
The students of B.Com (Banking and Insurance) department presented a dance performance panning the life of Kalam Sir, right from his childhood to his last day. The performance was much appreciated by the audience comprising of staff and 89 students.
The event concluded on a warm note with a message that we must all aspire to live a meaningful and fulfilling life just like the great man, who believed in living simply but valuing success through hard work and commitment.
Workshop on Eco-Friendly Ganpati
DATE: 7th August 2019 Student Council organized a workshop on Eco friendly Ganesh idol workshop. Miss.Aarti Chaudhary & Miss.Taruna Jain was resource person .They taught students how to make Ganesh idolwith Shadu mati.124 students & 13 teachers attended the work shop &made Ganesh idol.

Participated in Indian group song, folkdance,Skit-Hindi, Skit-Marathi,Light vocal solo Natyasangeet, Western instrumental solo and won 3rd prize in Marathi Skit, 2nd prize in western instrumental & consolation prize in folk dance at thane zonal level. Held at Bedekar college, Thane and went in final round on 10th August,2019.

- Student Council organised Sparklers a cultural event on 19th and 20th December,2019 .Total 22 events including literary,fineart,performance art were organised .The event was sponsored by Rotary Club of Dombivli Heritage, ITM Business School,Dombivli ,ICA Dombivli, Career Skills,Miga Fashion Instistute,Sai Krupa Mandap Decorators,Prabhat Staionery,Ashida Arts,Fruit frenzy & boofiya (Gift Coupons).501 students from different colleges participated in various events. The SIA College of Higher Education from Dombivli got best college award.
- Pongal was celebrated in college by Student Council.229 students participated .
- Student Council organised a session on Women safety & Drug Prevention on 23-1-2020 from 11.30 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. Dr.Vijay Chinchole spoke about types of drugs, its effect & symptoms of drug addict.He also created awareness about mobile addiction.Mrs Supriya Kulkarni addressed the crowd about women safety and guided about simple techniques that can be used to save themselves in danger situations.API Deepak More guided the students on laws and legislations on traffic rules,drug consumption & civil issues.65 students attended the session.
